London - Cloudseed as a featured startup

On September 26th and 27th, we had the privilege of participating in the #WorldAgriTech Summit in London as a featured startup. It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many bright minds from diverse backgrounds working to enhance agriculture resilience through public and private initiatives.

“Reducing Variables,” our trip mantra, is also an undercurrent of this event. From pheromone-based pest control to field robots to geospatial crop monitoring, each approach seeks to maximize the grower’s operational control. What caught us by surprise was the deployment timing of many solutions. The vast majority of AgTech represented at the event operates in-season, reacting to emerging conditions and issues, when sometimes little can be done. Cloudseed Inc. found itself relatively alone in the pre-season strategy space, where our research and grower feedback has told us the most opportunity exists.

As we presented our product to a room full of investors and stakeholders, we held up Manolo’s bag of Spanish-grown coffee as a tangible grower use case. Crops can and should migrate, and growers can achieve better yield outcomes for variable water scenarios by planting climate-adapted varieties. Cloudseed’s AI-powered CropRank technology can accelerate this critical adaptation pathway. #DisasterRiskReduction  #AnticipatoryAction
