Cloudseed in Europe

Cloudseed recently ventured to Europe to seek out innovative food growing practices, vet assumptions, and forge new connections.  We visited the fringes of the continent to explore growing innovations and climate extremes in Spain and the Netherlands, and participated at #WorldAgriTech Summit in London as a featured startup. It was a wild and eye-opening experience.

Growers are at the mercy of elements both within and outside of their control. They're exposed to variable season length, temperatures, precipitation, pests, disease, water availability, market conditions, labor, and soil health, all of which present risk.

The invisible hand guiding our travels was the theme of Reducing Variables.  We wanted to see with our own eyes how growers are managing variables, and identify capability gaps to refine our product mix to support food and water security. The post series to follow will showcase our most intriguing findings.
